Jesus described the greatest in the kingdom as those who would change to become like little children. Advancement in the kingdom is therefore dependent on our level of childlikeness. We, as adults, need to learn to live childlike, but we must also understand the need to guard the innocence children already have. Seth Dahl uses many examples from the movie “Rise of the Guardians"; fear is trying to steal the faith of the children of the world. In the movie, the Guardians are on earth to preserve this faith, by protecting childhood memories, hopes, dreams, wonder, and fun. These are the qualities contained in the innocence of the children of the world. When these qualities are protected, children are empowered to refuse to live a life of fear, and when they do, the power of fear is shattered and nightmares are turned into dreams.
