Declaration Card Sets for the Whole Family

Why are declarations important? Declarations are a powerful form of prayer, so powerful in fact that God spoke declarations to create the entire universe. When we declare the truth of who God says we are, it not only helps line up our beliefs about our families with the Truth of God’s word, but it will also recreate our homes and relationships to look like God’s home and relationships.

It is the great privilege of the believer to be able to pray this way and like God does, to “Call those things that be not as though they were.”

This is why I created declaration card sets for the whole family. These beautifully designed cards carry powerful daily declarations, prayers, and reminders for your family to shift the atmosphere of your home and align your family’s thinking with heaven.

Included in each set of cards are some declarations to pray over your family and children. If we look closely at what’s been called “the Lord’s Prayer,” it is an example to us of making declarations. Even Jesus taught the disciples to pray in this way. He taught them to declare, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10.

Sometimes believers struggle with declarations. Maybe it feels like we are saying something that isn’t happening yet so it seems like we’re lying, or they feel fake. I want to give you just a couple of thoughts around this so you can make biblical declarations with confidence.

We want everything we declare to be based on Scriptural promises (every declaration in the card sets are). In other words, they are based on the Truth. So if it feels like we are lying while we are declaring the truth, it’s a sign we may want to examine what we were thinking before we made the declaration. “Have I been in agreement with a lie so that the Truth feels like it’s not true?” is a great question to ask ourselves.

We also want to keep in mind that the circumstances of our lives may not be lining up currently with the Truth of these declarations. We don’t change what we believe because of what we are currently experiencing, but we declare God’s Truth into those experiences to begin to change them.

Another struggle many people have is that declarations can feel like we are living in denial if our circumstances look different than what we are saying. Let’s look at Joel 3:10 to see the difference between living in denial and declaring Truth over our lives. This verse says “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” Denial would say, “Let the weak say, ‘I’m not weak.’” Notice the difference?

Let’s look at this declaration as an example:

Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” And this same truth is repeated in Hebrews 13:5, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” I don’t think any of us would consciously say we don’t believe God is omnipresent—He is able to be everywhere all the time. But if we’re honest, we’ve probably all had circumstances where it felt like He wasn’t there or He wasn’t willing to help us.

We all want our family to be confident in the truth that God is with us and ready to help us. As we declare this truth in faith, we are renewing our minds to be in line with Truth, and we’ll begin to see our circumstances change as we have faith in God to be with us and help us in every situation!
